ELA End of Trimester (at a glance)

11/13/12:  Wrap-up The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe

11/14/12 - 11/15/12:  Visual Literacy poster project for Edgar Allan Poe's work.  All of this work will be done in class over this two day span.  Make sure your group has a poster board and all of the art supplies (coloring stuff, glue, scissors, rulers, etc.) that you will need.

11/14/12:  Open response questions for final exam will be distributed.  It isHIGHLY suggested that you spend some time reading through the questions, making your decision and completing brainstorming before writing the open response of your choice on Friday, 11/16 in class.

11/15/12:  After school whole group study session for final exam

11/16/12:  In class you will take the open response section of the final.  You may use your notes, the texts and anything else you feel as though you may need.  However, you MUST be finished with the paragraph by the end of the period, which is why it is HIGHLY suggested that you complete brainstorming and prewriting (NOT ROUGH DRAFT WRITING) before Friday and bring that to class with you.

11/16/12:  I will be after school on this day as well.  If you feel like you may need a little one-on-one time and attention, please make arrangements to stay after on this day as well.  Make sure you tell me by lunch time on Friday if you are staying after school on this day.

11/19/12:  In class Trimester One Final Exam.  You must complete the test in this hour.  This is the only test you will have all trimester, so make sure you feel confident and ready to attack it  :).

11/20/12:  Book talk focused on our choice books.  The topic of the conversation = what makes someone strong.

11/21/12:  Early release day and the start to your Thanksgiving Break!
